More information on Diamond Clarity

Diamond Clarity refers to the presence or absence of inclusions. Inclusions are internal imperfections in the diamond. These are white grey or black marks that may be visible to the human eye depending on the diamond clarity grading.

Diamond Clarity Grading

VS1 - VS2
Very Slightly Included 1, Very Slightly Included 2. Diamonds of this clarity have some minor inclusions that are visible under 10x magnification. Inclusions are not visible to the human eye.
SI
Slightly Included. Inclusions are difficult to see with the human eye. These diamonds represent excellent value.
SII

I1
Included grade 1. Inclusions are numerous enough or large enough to be visible to the human eye.

Included grades 2 and 3. Inclusions will be very visible to the human eye.

Choosing your diamond clarity

A higher grade of diamond will be more valuable. If you want a larger diamond then choosing a diamond of clarity VS1 or VS2 will help to keep the price down somewhat and you will still have a diamond that is perfect to the human eye.
